A great way to kick off 2010!

A round of applause goes out to everyone who joined us for Neighborhood Networking: West Loop at Plush Restaurant & Bar last night. Your participation helped make our first event of 2010 our biggest event yet! We hope everyone walked away with at least one valuable business connection, or perhaps a referral to a West Loop business or shop to check out.

A big thanks to our hosts, Billy and the staff of Plush for helping the night run smoothly and keeping us fed. Also, our featured exhibitor, The Ignite the Spirit Fund. If you didn’t have a chance to chat with Sam or see the calendar, please visit their site and see how you can help this great local organization.

And let’s not forget the generous raffle donors: Illinois Nut and CandyDouble Happiness Feng Shui Studio, Mercury Organizing Professionals, and West Loop businesses The Oprah Store, and Tribeca.

Next month, we are heading to Wishbone in Lakeview. Stay tuned for details! Not on our mailing list? Send us an email.

New connections are truly the best gift

Even though we are all winners whether we walk away with a nice raffle prize or not. Who doesn’t like to win the raffle?

It sure feels good to win a lil’ something from the local area businesses. This month’s gift offerings are from all over Chicago but mostly from the local West Loop area. You’ll find gifts and gift certificates from Illinois Nut and CandyDouble Happiness Feng Shui Studio, Mercury Organizing Professionals, and West Loop businesses The Oprah Store, and Tribeca.

Looks like we’ll be having a great turn out this month and what a great way to start the new year. There is still time to purchase your ticket online or to RSVP if you are paying at the door.

Featured Exhibitor: The Ignite the Spirit Fund

At Neighborhood Networking in the West Loop next week, we will be featuring The Ignite the Spirit Fund. The northwest side group was created to raise funds for Chicago firefighters and their families in times of need. By supporting the Ignite the Spirit Fund, you’ll be helping the firefighters take care of their own. It’s your chance to give something back to them for doing so much for the communities in which we live.

The Ignite the Spirit 2010 Chicago Firefighter Calendar features 12 male Chicago Firefighters and their stories. Sam Holloway (Mr. January) will be at Neighborhood Networking on Tuesday, January 26th at Plush Restaurant & Lounge to sign calendars and raise funds for the local organization.
